My blog about my travels and experiences to Las Vegas. Try to provide useful information and tips for people going to Las Vegas. Also provide links for Las Vegas websites, weather, tours, hotels and shopping.
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
Try to share some of my experiences to help others enjoy their trip. Provide my knowldege and information.
What blogging platform do you do and why?
I have started on Google Blogger. This i smy first blog, learning as I go along. Blogger is free, and is not to difficult to learn the basics.
What do you blog the most about?
Mostly from my own travels. Or information I have learned and think is good to share.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
The blogs that are angry and hateful.
Give five of your best blogging tips.
Good content. Good grammar. Using proper English. Be concise, not long winded. Share current up to date information.
What are some things you would NEVER blog about?
Politics, can be angry and hateful! Topics I know nothing about.
Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
That is a goal for the future. Trying all the things everyone else does now, like Adsense. No, not making any money.
How long have you been blogging?
Most be around seven months now.
About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?
It varies, more on weekends. I would guess a couple hours a day. Mostly trying to find ways to improve my blog. Scouting other blogs. Getting current news and information.
Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?
No, I have not tried to do that yet.
Do you use Digg, and why or why not?
I have only tried a couple times. Did not seem to do anything for my blog.
Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?
I have used it. Again, did nothing for my blog.
What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
I have found going into the Las Vegas forums and posting comments has worked best. It does attract visitors to my blog, and it's free.
If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?
John chow seems very popular these days. He has been very successful.
What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?
The poor quality content. Not using good word or sentence structure. Not posting often enough to keep readers coming back.
What are your top five blogging site picks and why?
I really don't read other blogs very often for their content. Usually read to find info on how to improve my blog. See what others have on their blogs, and what might be useful for me.
