Hawaiian Floral Luggage sells only Hawaiian floral print luggage.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

It was the kind of website I wanted to see when I did my own search for "Hawaiian floral luggage".

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

I launched my first website in Feb. 2008...RacingBinoculars.com!

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I used keyword analysis to find keywords that people were searching on. I decided not to use the "Hawaiian" portion of the name, because I was afraid people would mis-spell "Hawaiian"!

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

We only sell Hawaiian floral print luggage.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I plan to keep it for income.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

I'm learning tons! I've never built a website before, and there's just so much to learn. So even if I don't make any money, I fell successful because of all the skills I've learned by building FloralLuggage.com

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

I didn't know about the importance of getting in-bound links...that was a real surprise for me!

What has been your biggest challenge?

Just the feeling of being overwhelmed! There's so much to learn, and so much to do, that sometimes it is hard to set priorities!

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Submitting to the search engines.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

I didn't know how long it would take for the search engines to find me! I thought it would just be automatic!

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

It's been up for about 2 weeks, and I plan to keep it running indefinitely!
