Offering guided motorcycle tours of Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, and the southwest United States

What inspired you to launch your own website?

To generate awareness of the unique motorcycle tours we offer of the southwestern United States

How did you decide on a name for your website?

We needed a descriptive name to emphasize the fact that we choose beautiful backroads for our tours that offer scenic beauty and experiences that cannot be seen from the interstates and freeways

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

We provide a true "southwest experience" in all our tours by securing lodging that gives our tour particpants a real flavor of the American Southwest. Unique lodges and historic hotels are used whenever possible. We also take care of all route planning, rental bikes, and accomodations so our tour particpants can focus on just enjoying the ride!

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To continue to grow our business and array of tour offerings at the fast pace we have experienced since our inception.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

This business was a dream of mine for many years before we actually started it. The investment of time and money has paid off handsomely, and we have many satisfied customers who come back to us year after year.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would run more advertising in specialty magazines to gain more exposure

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes, definitely. We would hire additional staff and add additonal resources whenever necessary

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Choosing the right partners for accommodations, bike rentals, etc. that provide the correct "experience" and customer service that we expect

What has been your biggest challenge?

Getting the word out to prospective tour participants effectively. The internet has been our biggest source of customers so far

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Internet and partner advertising

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

The website has been running for a few months now, and will continue to be enhanced periodically and run indefinitely
